Scottish Qualification Authority

SQA is the national awarding and accreditation body, government sponsored. SQA committed to providing real and relevant progression opportunities for our learners. Scottish Qualification Authority is experts in current qualification design, assessment, certification and quality assurance. Their expertise and experience contributes to the development of national qualifications system and frameworks globally.
SQA have 100 years’ experience in developing qualifications and qualification systems and over 20 years’ experience of working internationally in partnership with governments.
The SQA Advanced Diploma is a well-established and respected short cycle higher education qualification. It is recognised internationally as being equivalent to the first two years of undergraduate study. It allows students to study for the Advanced Diploma in their own country, then again entry to second or third year of a degree course abroad.
SQA have partnered with a wide range of institutions globally who will accept SQA Advanced Diploma graduates onto their degree programmes with advanced entry, giving students the choice of where to study. If candidate goal is to graduate with a degree then a SQA Advanced Diploma can be a very successful and highly cost effective route to achieving this.
Racer College has been a SQA approved centre since 2013 and our partnership with SQA allow as offering students entry into the first and second year. This gives students a fast-track option that’s more affordable, without compromising on quality or student experience.

Myanmar Engineering Society (M.E.S)

Myanmar Engineering Society, originally formed in 1916 is The Association of Engineers of Burma. It was inaugurated again in 1996 as Myanmar Engineering Society to server motherland Myanmar with the much needed infrastructure developments. It consists of engineers from Yangon Institute of Technology, Mandalay Institute of Technology, Government Departments and Private Sectors. Today, MES plays an important role in the development of Engineering Council and its laws.
Ojectives of MES
  1. 1.To enable engineers and architects to participate with their utmost capability, using their expertise for the development of architecture as the base and all-round development of other sectors of economy as well.
  2. 2.To enable engineers and architects all over the country to actively participate in harmony in the development and dissemination of engineering and architectural knowledge and in nation-building tasks.
  3. 3.Besides engineering degree holders, diploma holders in engineering and other kinds of engineers, those who actively take part in the development of engineering and architecture, individuals and organizations that are enthusiastically supporting for the development of society are to have access to the different levels of membership.
  4. 4.To maintain and uplift the standard and prestige of engineering and architectural profession and to enable engineers and architects to be fully aware of their duties and responsibilities and the professional ethics.
  5. 5.To assist in building up a modern developed nation by means of seminar and talks concerning good traditions, knowledge and experiences; by organizing excursions; and by conducting courses for new generation engineering students and young engineers and architects so that well-informed, resourceful technical manpower can be produced.
  6. 6.To be able to widely undertake tasks such as doing research, reading papers, conducting seminars and publishing journals so as to develop engineering and architectural knowledge.
  7. 7.To provide stipend to students and required aids including cash to researchers for the promotion of the academic studies.
  8. To occasionally evaluate the performance of professional engineers and architects and to designate them at appropriate levels of membership.
  9. 9.To extend sub-organizations of respective engineering and architectural studies by the time when MES get settled, in order to concentrate on and effectively carry out the tasks of individual fields as engineering and architectural fields are very wide and continuously improving.
  10. 10. If necessary, to set up regional offices such as state / division, district, township level MES branch offices within the country to be able to carry out the tasks smoothly.
  11. 11.To make contact with overseas academic and economic organizations (non-profitable & non-political organizations) accordingly for the benefit of the state and its people.
